Chiang Kai-shek Memorial (Taipei)

The National Chiang Kai-shek Memorial Hall is a famous monument, landmark and tourist attraction erected in memory of Generalissimo Chiang Kai-shek, former President of the Republic of China.

It is located in Taipei, Republic of China (ROC).
The monument, surrounded by a park, stands at the east end of Memorial Hall Square.

The structure is framed on the north and south by the National Theater and National Concert Hall.

Sun Yat-Sen

Sun Yat-sen (12 November 1866 – 12 March 1925) was a Chinese revolutionary and first president and founding father of the Republic of China ("Nationalist China"). As the foremost pioneer of Republic of China, Sun is referred to as the "Father of the Nation" in the Republic of China (ROC), and the "forerunner of democratic revolution" in the People's Republic of China. Sun played an instrumental role in the overthrow of the Qing dynasty during the Xinhai Revolution.

Kaohsiung, Lotus Lake

Lotus Lake is a man-made lake and popular tourist destination on the east side of Zuoying District in Kaohsiung City in southern Taiwan.

Opened in 1951, it is famous for the lotus plants on the lake and the numerous temples around the lake,

including the Spring and Autumn Pavilions, the Dragon and Tiger Pagodas , and the Confucian Temple.
Lotus Lake was the site for several water sporting events for World Games 2009, including canoe polo, water ski, and dragon boat.
